"You're healed?!" BIG praise report!

Not sure about you, but in the past when someone has claimed to have seen a miraculous healing I tend roll my eyes a bit - not that I have ever questioned if God can heal, but rather because too often someone is just caught up in the emotion of it all. I haven't seen many genuine healings but after this past weekend I'm full of faith for God to do exactly that.

After giving the challenge for people to place their faith in Jesus, slowly but surely people gathered at the altar, many visually touched by the Holy Spirit. I watched as one girl, whom I had seen arrive with a walker, make her way to the front with the help of her friends. She clearly was in pain and walked with great difficulty. After a time of prayer and ministry for these new believers I felt the need to pray for this girl. I found out her name was Amber and she had badly hurt her hip. Alongside a few others on our team we prayed for Amber and as Jesus' disciples did, we commanded the pain to go and for her hip to be restored. “Please be honest with us Amber, how is it feeling?" I could tell Amber didn't have much faith for healing and yet her persona quickly changed as she put weight on her leg. “It's numb!" she said, “the pain's gone but I can't feel a thing". “Carefully do something you couldn't do before," I said. She bent down and then began to walk, alone! Suddenly the tears came streaming down her cheeks as the realisation of what God did hit her; “It's tingling and it feels all weak but I can walk!"

That night Amber walked out of that building healed - not just physically but more importantly, spiritually. Her mother arrived in tears overwhelmed by what God had done and I watched as her Aunty carried her walker out of the building. "I'm not sure what we're going to do with this walker now!", I heard her say with a laugh. I later found out that her mother had been faithfully praying for her daughter to come to Jesus for some time. That night God answered her prayer!!

Yesterday we sent Amber a text to ask her how she was doing - see her response below.

I could go on and share the story of the girl whose ankle was miraculously healed as soon as she turned up or the many individuals who came to Christ on the night but these are stories for a different time. All this to say: God is real, He is moving and it is an honour to join Him in this adventure!

Thank you for your prayer and support! Bring on Bay of Plenty, Manawatu and Hawkes Bay!
